The urge to create is always stronger than the hard work required on this path, so strong that it pulls me forward.
I pursued business as a profession but the call to create sang within. I imagine I had to walk the path this way. I see that my business profession paved the way. My profession taught me about structure, resilience, building systems, time management, and prioritizing - strong foundations for what I’m building.
Allowing my art and writing to be out in the world is scary but a crucial step. I remind myself that the creative process is magical; first grabbing an idea from my imagination, then connecting it with my emotions to allow that art or writing to come through my hands… doesn’t this sound like magic? The act of making something appear from nothing is magic!
Spending time with my nieces always reminded me that as children we didn’t think twice about creating whimsical stories or drawing from our imagination, we just created and drew beautiful stories in great detail. We all have this skill! May this website serve as a reminder of the creative child within.
A note from my heart:

I love the water. I love the charm of historic places like Smithville in New Jersey. In this photo I captured a moment of my life, wishing, hoping to live a creative life. Seeing this image again, I’m reminded of my favorite quote. I can’t recall where I read it but it has made a huge difference in my life!
“Your life is your biggest design project.”
